Terms & Conditions
These terms apply whenever you enquire about, book or receive a makeup service from SlaybySabb ("we", "us", "SlaybySabb"), including through slaybysabb.com. By submitting an enquiry or paying a deposit, you agree to them.
1. Enquiries & booking confirmation
Submitting the enquiry form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed once we've agreed your date, service and price with you directly, and — for services that require one — your deposit has been received. Until then your date isn't held and may be taken by another client.
2. Pricing, deposits & payment
Prices shown on the site are a guide; your final quote (including any travel fee) is confirmed with you before you pay a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable except as set out in clause 4. The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment unless we've agreed otherwise in writing, and can be paid by cash, bank transfer or payment link as agreed with you.
3. Cancellations & rescheduling by you
Plans change, and we'd always rather move your date than lose you. The notice you need to give depends on the type of booking:
- Standard bookings — cancel or move your date more than 48 hours before your appointment and your deposit is held as credit toward a rebooked date within 6 months. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is forfeited.
- Celebrity, television, editorial and production bookings — these hold a full day and turn other work away, so they need at least 7 days' notice. Inside 7 days, the deposit is forfeited.
- Where your service sets its own notice period, that period applies instead. It's shown with the service when you enquire and confirmed in writing when you book.
One rebooking is included per deposit; a further change of date is treated as a new booking with a new deposit. To cancel or request a change, use your client portal or contact us directly — whichever is easiest for you.
4. Cancellations by SlaybySabb
If we need to cancel your appointment — illness, family emergency, travel disruption or similar — you'll receive a full refund of everything you've paid, including your deposit, or we'll do our best to help you find a suitable replacement artist, whichever you prefer.
5. Trials
A trial is a separate service, charged and paid for in its own right, and is non-refundable once it has taken place. Booking a trial doesn't hold your event date — that's only confirmed once a deposit for the event itself has been paid.
6. Group & party bookings
Where a booking covers more than one person, the quote is based on the number of faces confirmed at the time of booking. Please confirm final numbers at least 7 days before the date. Additional faces added on the day can only be accommodated if time allows and are charged at the standard rate; reductions made inside 7 days are still charged, as that time has been reserved for you.
7. Right to refuse or discontinue service
We reserve the right to decline or stop a booking, including on the day, where:
- you or a guest behave in a threatening, abusive or unsafe manner toward the artist;
- you appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol in a way that affects your ability to consent to the service or makes the environment unsafe;
- you have a visible active skin infection, open wound or contagious condition in the treatment area;
- the location provided isn't safe, private or suitable to work in; or
- an agreed deposit or balance hasn't been received.
Where we refuse or stop a service under this clause, no refund is owed for any portion already delivered, and any deposit is treated as forfeited.
8. Travel, location & timing
Any travel fee quoted is based on the location you provide when booking; a significant change of location may change the fee. Please have your space ready — a clean, well-lit spot with a chair, a mirror and access to a power socket — for the agreed start time. Delays caused by the space not being ready may shorten your appointment or incur a reasonable additional charge for the artist's extra time. Where parking or venue access charges apply at your location, these are passed on at cost.
9. Health, allergies & patch tests
Please tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions or recent treatments (e.g. lash extensions, chemical peels, Botox, fillers) before your appointment. A patch test at least 48 hours beforehand is recommended for any product you haven't used before, and required if you have known sensitivities. SlaybySabb isn't liable for a reaction to a product where this information wasn't disclosed to us in advance. Our artists work to professional hygiene standards, with brushes and tools sanitised between clients.
10. Clients under 18
Clients under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian, who must be present for the appointment. We don't take bookings for children under 13.
11. Late arrival & no-shows
If you're running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate you, but your appointment may need to be shortened to protect bookings after yours, at the full agreed price. Where you don't attend and haven't told us, the deposit is forfeited, and if the artist has already travelled to your location the full balance remains payable.
12. Photography & portfolio use
We may photograph or film our work at your appointment for SlaybySabb's own portfolio, website and social media. If you'd rather we didn't, just let us know before your appointment and we won't use your images. You can also ask us to stop using an image at any time afterwards and we'll remove it from anything we control.
13. Client portal accounts
Your client portal access is for you personally — please keep your sign-in link and any account access private, and let us know if you think someone else has accessed it without your permission.
14. If something isn't right
If you're unhappy with any part of your service, please tell us at the appointment or within 48 hours afterwards, so we can look into it while it can still be put right. We take every concern seriously and will respond within 7 days.
15. Events beyond our control
Neither of us is liable for failing to go ahead because of something genuinely outside our control — extreme weather, flight cancellation, government restriction, serious illness or similar. Where that happens we'll reschedule where we can, or refund what you've paid for the part that didn't go ahead.
16. Limitation of liability
We carry out every service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking — except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law, which this clause doesn't affect.
17. Privacy & your data
We collect the details you give us to manage your enquiry, booking and client portal. How we handle that — what we keep, who processes it, how long we hold it, and the rights you have over it — is set out in our privacy policy.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here at the time of your enquiry. Material changes affecting an already confirmed booking won't be applied to that booking without telling you.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, where SlaybySabb is based, without prejudice to any statutory rights you may have under the laws of your own country as a consumer.
